Charline Eppright, pastel portrait artist from Austin, will demonstrate her technique for painting children at the Central Texas Pastel Society Saturday, February 13th, meeting from 9:30 to noon. The meeting is free and open to the public. Anyone with an interest in pastels and/or portrait painting is encouraged to attend. Meetings are held at the Windberg Art Center in Georgetown www.windbergartcenter.com. Char has been focused on painting portraits in oil and pastel for the past 30 years. Her work has been exhibited in shows and galleries around Texas and New Mexico winning numerous awards. She has painted portraits of many prominent people, among those are the retiring district court judges for the Travis County Bar Association, the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Court of Appeals. She also enjoys painting the Native American Indian as well as children's portraits. Recently she has been enjoying landscape painting, especially in European countries. She is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, Austin Pastel Society, which she co-founded and Plein Air Austin and is represented by the Riverbend Gallery in Marble Falls, TX. www.ceppright.com.
